Teacher Training
Together for Humanity has received a grant from DEEWR (Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations)
for the further development of teacher resources relating to diversity and anti-prejudice education and
utilising international best practice.
We have drafted an outline of six
Teacher Training Modules
to address the challenges involved in diversity education, these are:
- Understanding cultural perspectives/norms
- Creating a safe environment to discuss prejudice and diversity
- Teaching, talking and thinking about religious and ethical beliefs
- Developing inclusive Australian identities
- Developing tolerance in the context of inter-cultural conflict and grievances
- Developing school leaders in the context of inter-school cross cultural exchange
We are consulting widely with teachers and your input is needed. Please click here to complete a short
Teacher Needs Survey.
Feel free to contact us with other comments or feedback.

Help Desk
We have plans for the development of a help desk, to which teachers can send inquiries about practical situations they face,
and seek clarification about content or methods for teaching about diversity.
