Leave a gift in your will

No matter how small or large, a gift in your will, will help build a world where all children feel like they belong.

You can leave a gift in your will, legally known as a bequest, to Together for Humanity.  Children across Australia will benefit from a gift in your Will, now and into the future. Their need has never been greater.

A gift in your will is a deeply personal and important decision.

It gives you the power to choose how your life’s work and assets will benefit your loved ones and the world you leave behind.

We realise that your family and friends will always come first. Even a small gift, maybe 1% of your estate, after you have provided for your loved ones, can help make Australia a place where all children feel they belong and prejudice and discrimination have been eliminated.

A gift in your will is an important commitment, so if you do choose to leave a gift to Together for Humanity we would love to hear from you. We would like to thank you personally. However, if you wish for your decision to remain private we respect that and will always respect your privacy. We will use your gift carefully and cost effectively to help build a more inclusive and cohesive Australia

By leaving a gift to Together For Humanity in your Will, you can help students to;

  • Challenge stereotypes
  • reduce their cultural difference
  • deal with prejudice and discrimination
  • develop empathy, mutual acceptance and increase their sense belonging

Confidentiality

Together For Humanity respects your privacy and assures you that we fully comply with the Data Protection Act 1998.

We will under no circumstances share your legacy information with any other organisations and all correspondence will be dealt with in strictest confidence.

Your support is vital to the work we do, and we truly thank you for considering leaving a gift in your Will to give children around Australia a life worth living.

If you’ve decided to support the work of Together For Humanity with a gift in your will, thank you.

Children across Australia will benefit from your lasting legacy.

You will need to see your solicitor to make a will and also appoint an executor; the person or people who’ll make sure your wishes are followed. If you want to amend or add to an existing will, it’s considered best practice to make those changes by getting a new will drafted by your solicitor.

You will also need to decide which of the following kinds of gift you wish to make to Together For Humanity in your will.

Details or the types of gifts are shown below.

Once you’ve provided for your loved ones, you can leave the remainder of your estate to Together For Humanity. This is the best way to make sure your bequest is inflation-proof because you don’t need to put a precise value on your gift. Or you can decide a percentage of your estate – 1% for example.

A specific gift may include any sum of money, a residential house and land, a vacant block, a commercial property or shares in a publicly listed company.

Once you’ve decided on the type of gift you’d like to leave to Together for Humanity, ask you accountant or solicitor to draft a clause for inclusion in your will. It is important that wording is correct or your wishes may not be carried out.

When you lose someone close, a donation can be a way to honor your loved one and express hope that we can achieve the Australia we all want to see. There are many ways to remember a loved one whether it is setting up an online tribute, organising a group collection in lieu of flowers or just giving a one off personal donation as a gift of hope.
