Book one of our 60 – 90 minute presentations below or contact bookings@togetherforhumanity.org.au to organise a presentation for a special event such as Harmony Day or specific cultural celebration.

With a focus on the symbols, origins and significance of cultural and/or religious celebrations this presentation explores how celebrations can help us include and connect with others.

Years 3 – 4

 

 

Personal sharing from First Nations elders and community allows students to explore the past, present and future of the world’s oldest continuing culture and inspiration and connection for all Australians

Years 5 – 12

Through interactive engagement with a culturally diverse panel, this presentation explores belonging, of the most powerful predictors of student wellbeing, and helps students find ways to give and receive respect to all people.

Years 3 – 8

Drawing on personal stories of migration, students gain an understanding of diverse people’s migration experiences and cultural practices, helping them to gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be Australian.

Years 3 – 4

Through an interactive presentation and Q&A, facilitators from diverse cultures and faiths help students to examine their assumptions and stereotypes about Australian identity. The session can touch on antisemitism, Islamophobia, racism and prejudice against First Nations peoples and other prejudices.

Years 5 – 10

In a quiz show-style presentation, students uncover the answers to some fascinating (and often surprising) facts about a panel of guest presenters from diverse cultural and religious background, leading to empathy, respect and a challenge of stereotypes.

Years 5 – 10

Our SOR presentations provide students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of syllabus content and explore the lived experience of religious traditions with scholars and adherents of Muslim, Jewish, and Catholic faiths. All sesssions include an in-depth Q&A.
